2014 teams will not be shown until mid - late March, depending on when Newcastle Football advise the club of team gradings
U6 and U7 teams will receive the shin pads and ball at the Introduction day to be held on Saturday 5th April at the Tomaree Sports Complex
All MiniRoos Teams (U6- U11) will be told which team they are in and players can meet their fellow team mates
Parents will be asked to volunteer to coach and manage teams. If you are interested in coaching/managing please contact the secretary before the Introduction Day
Times for age groups to attend will be advised closer to the day
As soon as the new stock arrives they will be available for purchase at the grounds - days and time of the afternoons will be shown on the website. They can also be purchased on the MiniRoos introduction day

The next task to be undertaken is the sorting and packing of all the teams gear bags
As you can appreciate this is a big job as the club is expecting to have more teams this year
You would not be expected to walk in and start without any training. The secretary would be there to supervise
- even an offer to help for a few hours when the team bags are being assembled would be appreciated

As presented at the preseason Club Meeting, Newcastle Football in coordination with NF Referees intend to deliver a Cadet & Club Assistant Referee course for 2014.
Could you please assist as a matter of importance by distributing this information to all the members of your club?
Club Ref - with the introduction of these courses we are endeavouring to help with the falling numbers of Referees by providing Club Assist Refs which will allow the spread of qualified active Ref to more matches knowing that each club has “accredited” help at their ground. If the individual is interested, they can become active within the NF Referees and subsequently become a Match Official and be appointed accordingly.
It is expected that each Club entering All Age Men/Women, Over 35’s will send a minimum of one participant per team or if a Club has multiple squads then one per two teams.
Cadet Ref – in past seasons we have provided Instructing Referee courses, to cover the SSF (now MiniRoos) matches in 8, 9, 10 & 11 ages. The 2014 course has now taken on a more significant status and therefore a Cadet Referee will be the accredited level and appointed to matches. The Club will still be involved in local appointments but NF Referees will appoint Cadets to the NET program matches at Wallarah Oval each Saturday; to give as many as possible the opportunity to officiate the NET match’s appointments will be set in advance on a rotation bases allowing for travel.
All courses are FREE, completion of the Club Assist Ref course will be recognised by the NF Referees for any extension for full Match Official standing in the future. NF Referees have a limited number of shirts (free) available to those who complete the Cadet & Club Refs course.
Courses will be held as follows:
Cadet – Saturday, 22nd March 2014 @ Walker Fields, Elermore Vale (South Wallsend FC) – 1.00pm. Age groups = 12 & 13 year old – male / female.
Cadet – Saturday, 22nd March 2014 @ King Park, Raymond Terrace (Raymond Terrace SC) – 1.00pm. Age groups = 12 & 13 year old – male / female.
Club Assistant – Sunday, 23rd March 2014 @ Waratah Public School, Waratah. – 9.00am. Age group = 14 year old to All Age & Over 35’s - male / female.
Registration will be accepted on the day; but assistance with numbers attending from your club would be appreciated in advance.
